The performers and attendees of the Rivertown Review collected personal care items for Safe Harbor- the local domestic violence shelter.
When someone is forced to seek help from a shelter, they might not have time to pack a suitcase or gather up their belongings. Many times they arrive with only the clothes on their backs. We will be collected items like: soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene items, etc. any personal care item that could make someone's stay in the shelter more comfortable.
From Debbie Wright, Outreach Coordinator of Safe Harbor:
"The variety and number of full-sized quality products was so very much appreciated! We received everything from shampoos, razors, shaving creams, feminine hygiene, bar soaps to toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shower gels and body lotions!!! We had a CARLOAD of items and the bags worked out well! Many thanks for helping us raise awareness and for the donations as well as the opportunity to watch some of the program! It was beautiful!"
We thank you for your help!
